Pink Saturday: Musical Jewelry Box

If you've been coming here for a while, you know how much I ADORE creating things from vintage jewelry and jewelry parts!  What better way to store them than in jewelry boxes.  Right?!?  

Right!  Good answer!  *wink*

And if you have a weakness for vintage jewelry, like me, then you are going to need more than one!  I have them stacked all around my studio!

There are so many wonderful vintage jewelry boxes out there just waiting to hold wonderful old pieces of jewelry again.  The ones in my studio are bursting at the seams with old jewelry and jewelry parts...because I don't shy away from something if it is broken.  If it is pretty then broken doesn't matter to me!  I'll find a way to use it in one of my creations where it will shine, as if nothing is wrong!

Out of my jewelry boxes, I love the pink ones the best, and if you are here for Pink Saturday, I know you do too!  

This is my "newest" acquisition.  I found this little gem on ETSY.  Don't you just adore ETSY?!?  I'm crazy about the delightful color of this one!  It has a few scuffs but that is part of the appeal.  I love to think about someone using these boxes back in the day.  I wonder what type of jewelry was stored within.  This box is actually a music box...and it works beautifully.  I just haven't identified the tune just yet.

And O.M.G.  It is the perfect color inside!  There is one little spot that is discolored but the inside is just lovely!  The little box-looking-thingy {for lack of a better word...lol} is where the little music mechanism is located.

And just look how fabulous it is with all these sparkly jewelry pieces!  Yummy!

Oh...So...Charming

I love charms!  Everywhere I go on my travels, I pick up a charm or two.  My "travel" charm bracelet is full.  However, I have been quite drawn to charm bracelets that have a vintage flair.  I adore old jewelry anyway, so that's probably why I find these creations so interesting.  For quite some time now, I have been collecting vintage pieces of jewelry...and I don't shy away from some that are a bit broken, and seen their better days.  I use them in lots of my art creations, but I wanted a vintage charm bracelet.  So, today I am sharing the very first charm bracelet I have made.  I am working on some for my Etsy shop...hopefully it won't be too long before I get them added.

Here is my first bracelet, and it is one that I made for me.

I'm pretty happy with it.  I really enjoy wearing it.

Well, that just created a monster...a vintage jewelry monster...ME!

I have been creating all kinds of jewelry now.  My most recent creations are necklaces.  

This one will probably be in my shop soon.  

I ♥ Hearts and this one has two vintage heart pendants!  

I love the pastel colors.

White Jewelry Bits and Bobs

Happy White Wednesday everyone!  Lately, I have taken a great interest in creating repurposed jewelry.  I have seen so many cool pieces from such talented bloggers, that I set out a while back to learn all about it.  One reason I was so excited to find my dress form ~Emma Claire~ was that reason.  She is great to model and display such items.  

Here she is with a couple of my creations already. 

 I love pearl-y type bits and bobs, and I have used some in the first two necklaces.

I am always on the lookout for vintage jewelry {even broken pieces}that might work in one of my creations.  

I am always drawn to pearl-y and white type items!  

Even buttons work well!

FABULOUS FINDS!!!!!
B-b-b-b-ling Alert! This post is intense with Bling!
I found these oh-so-wonderful goodies today. After work, I decided to go by one of the antique shops here in town. I kept being drawn to these displays with all the wonderful sparkles. After browsing the first and second floors, I finally reached the third floor, and there, I hit the jackpot! OMGosh, just look!! Mmmmmmm!

These vintage strands are awesome. They are in great condition. The romantic victorian pin was a "have to have"!



These vintage goodies were a find! The clasp on these strands is just beautiful.



These little sweet treats are going to find a home on some Mother's Day crafts that I have planned.



I saved the best for last.....These vintage hat pins are absolutely stunning!! This picture doesn't even do them justice. These are going to find a new home in Mother's Day crafts soon!
