Shabby Chic and Mother's Day

Happy Pink Saturday
and
Happy Mother's Day!

Slowly, my home is becoming Shabby Chic.

Empty Nest is HARD, and there have been lots of tears, so I decided to take on a transformation of several rooms in our home to keep myself busy.

Shabby chic is making its way in...and I'm loving it!

I know, I keep showing my peonies...oh how I adore them!!!

I'm really lovin' some dried flowers!  I found a sweet shop on Etsy that has the best dried flowers!

Since all of my family was in town last weekend for hubby's graduation/pinning ceremony {I'm so proud of my Magna Cum Laude graduate!}, we celebrated Mother's Day early.

It was great to have both of my boys, my daughter-in-love, granddaughter, and the other son's girlfriend here.  After the pinning, everyone came to our home to celebrate!
Then after church on Sunday, we went to Cracker Barrel for lunch.

It was a great day!
It was a great weekend!
SO BLESSED!

Happy Mother's Day!

I'm thinking about and missing my Mother!  It hasn't gotten easier yet.

I'm linking to Beverly's PINK SATURDAY.

Happy Mother's Day!

Such a wonderful word!
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!
Missing my Mom but rejoicing that she is painfree, and walking with Jesus today.

Have a blessed week, my friends!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

These are some of my flowers that I picked yesterday.  These flowers are for someone special.  This afternoon after church, my family...including my Dad... will visit Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, and place these on my Mother's grave...not at all what I thought Mother's Day would be like a few weeks ago.   However, I know that my Mom is with my hubby's Mom on this special day, and in the presence of our Lord.

Happy Mother's Day Momma!
I miss you so much and look forward to seeing you again someday.
Thank you for all you have done for us...feeding our stomachs, as well as, our souls...for teaching us what unconditional love is, for being a shining example in all that you did.  We are so blessed to have had you for our Mother!

Happy Mother's Day everyone!
Blessings,
Rebecca

Happy Mother's Day

I would like to wish all you special mothers a very
Happy Mother's Day!

For those with little ones, teenage children, young adults, older adults, and those that have passed on...thank you for giving your time to nuture, love, and care for your sweet ones.

I want to wish a very Happy Mother's Day to my sweet Mom.
I think back to all she has done over the years for us.
When growing up, I had wonderful jumpers and coolots that my mother made for me. My sister and I had the best Barbie clothes because so many were homemade! I always loved the embroidered pillowcases that she made. Homemade baked goods and home cooked sit-down meals at precisely 5:00 were always special. A "June Clever" mom that was there when I got home from school, a house that was always clean, and bedtime stories made childhood special.
I always enjoy the holidays to this day, as she always prepares a spread fit for a king.
We know how you love Paula Deen, so here's one of her cookbooks. Hope you find lots of yummy recipes to try!
Thanks Mom for all you have done and still do!
We are all truly blessed by your gentle nature, care, and concern, and for you always putting us first! I love you!

God Bless You All!
Happy Mother's Day!

Hugs,
Rebecca
