Dollies, Roses, and Plates...OH MY!

Happy Pink Saturday!

VINTAGE DOLLIES

One of my weaknesses is vintage dollies.
These are my favorite kind to collect.

I just love their wonderfully vintage dresses, hats, flowers, etc.  I recently found these 4 beauties for a song, and I just think they are yummy!  I especially adore the one in the pink dress and hat!

ROSES

I couldn't have been given a better name than
Rebecca Rose!
Oh how I LOVE roses...ALL colors, but still nothing better than PINK...
All shades!  :)

This rose bush was here when we bought this home 2 1/2 years ago.  It has really been scrawny and scraggly, and I've tried to give it some love and attention.  At least this year, it is actually blooming.  I had almost given up on it, as I am NOT a rose expert, by any means!  Maybe with a little more nurturing, it will be even prettier next year.

Aren't these gorgeous!?!  These arrived today from some friends.  We will get it planted on Saturday in the front yard.  I will always be reminded of my sweet mother, as they were given in memory of her.

PLATES
OMG! {or as my friends would say, OH EM Gee!  lol}
I adore the little rosy pink flower design!

I found these plates for a steal!  $1.00 a plate.
I just love them!

Hope you enjoyed my pinks for Pink Saturday.
Want more Pink?
Then head on over to Beverly's!  You wouldn't believe all of the pinkies out there in blogland that love to share their pinks!
Pink Saturday Blessings
from Our Back Porch.
Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers!

Have a blessed weekend with those you love!

Hugs,
Rebecca

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY REBECCA AND HAPPY MOTHERS DAY
I FOUND YOU THROUGH A COMMENT YOU MADE ON SARES BLOG
I AM SO HAPPY YOUR MOTHER WAS A CHRISTIAN AND IS WHOLE IN THE PRESENCE OF JESUS BUT IT DOESN'T TAKE AWAY OUR GRIEF OF WANTING THEM IN OUR PRESENCE. MY ONLY DAUGHTER GRADUATED TO HEAVEN ON OCT 23, 2009. IT IS MY FIRST MOTHERS DAY WITHOUT HER, HERE ON EARTH. IT HAS BEEN VERY DIFFICULT BUT I WILL DISCUSS YOUR BEAUTIFUL PINK SATURDAY POST. YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL YOUN WOMAN AND I BET YOU ARE AN AWESOME TEACHER. READING A FEW OF YOUR POSTS, WE PRETTY MUCH LIKE THE SAME THING.
I LOVE YOUR DOLLIES....DO YOU FIND THEM AT ESTATE SALES OR ON THE INTERNET. I COLLECT DOLLS BUT THEY ARE BIGGER...I THINK I WOULD LOVE COLLECTING THAT SIZE.
LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW YOU BETTER.
HUGS

The dolls are precious. You know I didn't like dolls a whole lot when I was a child but I love them now. Hope you have a beautiful Mother's Day too.

Rebecca, what a pretty Pink Saturday post!

Your dolls are so cute. I remember dolls like that from my childhood. Does that mean I'm vintage??? LOL! They are so pretty, and I'm glad they found a loving home with you. And those plates! Those plates! Girl, you got a steal on them! Love your pretty roses, too.

Happy PS to you and Happy Mother's Day, too!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Old dolls are indeed fascinating! Every once in a while you come across a scary looking one though! The rose given to you in memory of your Mother is beautiful, so many pretty shades in one rose.
I hope you have a good weekend and your pain isn't too great with the loss of your own sweet Mother not too far away. Take care Rebecca Rose and Happy Pink!

Hello Rebecca, Happy Pink Saturday! What a cute pink post this week. I love those dolls, my sister and I played with that type of doll before Barbie's were out. LOL I scrolled your blog and it's very cute, I'm so sorry to read about your Mother. I lost mine in 1984 and still miss her so!
