A Face Only A Mother Could Love*Happy Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday Everyone!
It seems that Pink Saturdays {even though NOT every one of them} is when I get to post since school has started.  There has been so many new things added at our school, that we are constantly working on learning these new programs, ideas, etc.  I miss the time that I had in the summer to keep up with my blog on a regular basis.  If it counts for anything, I think about you all often, and I miss my time here with you all!  So, thanks for checking in on me and not giving up on me...But next week is our last week before Fall Break {which is two whole weeks-Yippee!}

So, let's get on with Pink Saturday!
Today, I thought I'd share a couple of sweet dolls I found a while back at the Nashville Flea Market.

Bless their hearts...they have seen better days, but where some people will shy away from tattered and torn dollies, I embrace them for they are just showing the love that they have received over the years.  The dolly dressed in pink, came with this little dress.

The other doll, is just a head, and is made of metal.  They were just too good to pass up, and their price just helped me seal the deal.  A great deal, indeed!

Thanks for sharing this time with me at Our Back Porch.  Be sure to head over to Beverly's for more fun, pink posts!  Have a most lovely day, and insanely blessed week to come!

Hugs and Blessings,
Rebecca

Rebecca, I love them both. Not everybody can find beauty in this kind of thing, we do. I will love to find a metal one, even if is just the head. It seems like a lot of bloggers have taken hiatus from blogging. I'm always happy to hear from all of them, even when there is no time to leave a comment. Blessings to you and enjoy your coming break, Marta.

Hi Rebecca! My daughter is a teacher too, and I know how you feel a little bit. I love seeing her as much as I do all Summer, but when the school year starts, she is so busy it makes my head spin!.. Of course I don't get to see her as much, and I miss her. But I've always held great respect for the best teachers out there. They are truly heroes in my eyes, and more importantly (whether they realize it or not) a child's eyes! So, I tip my hat to you, and wish you a wonderful school year ahead!... LOVE your new dolls! I never outgrew my dolls, and my collection of all kinds can be found all over my house!.. Have a great weekend! ~tina

Rebecca,

What a sweet pink post! I love old dolls..I have a few in my attic that I really should get out. I don't have a place for them now...but I'm converting a bedroom (my son moved out) to a little studio room for me! Yippe! Maybe then I can put them out on display! Happy Pink Saturday!!

Well, someone has to love them, and that person is YOU! I'm sure you'll bring out the inner beauty...

Love the doll head. You always wonder about the history of old dolls and the children that once loved them. I think toys nowadays are so expendable and kids rarely have a favorite they love for years.
Happy Pink and I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

I collect old dolls too, and it makes you wonder who owned them, and what they were like. These look very well loved. Thanks for sharing them.

I love old dolls, Rebecca. I so miss my Ginny doll, similar to your first one.

Sorry I have not been with you more lately. We finally finished both house constructions & took off for 2 weeks. I apologize, but will be better now.
