Sweet Pink Secret and Surprises!

Well, when I posted last week...I was about to burst!
I had a HUGE secret but couldn't share it yet.

Remember this cutie from lasts week's post?

You see, last weekend, my son was about to propose to this little cutie's Mommy!  My posts go to my Facebook, and I couldn't dare let the secret out as "she" is one of my FB Friends!  My son had gone to great lengths to make this a HUGE surprise...I couldn't do anything to spoil this precious moment for them!

My son has been in love with this wonderful young lady for years.  They have dated on and off but when they weren't together, they were still great friends...a distance thing was one reason.  They have been back together for several months now...and my son always said she was "the one" he was going to marry.

My son thinks of baby *K* as his own.  We love her as if she were our biological granddaughter...and you know how much I've been ready to be a Grammy.  So today, I am sharing some pics with you that were taken when he proposed to lil miss *K*'s mommy.  They have been talking about marriage a lot lately...just talking about what they would want their wedding to be "someday".  They had already had this photo shoot set up to get some pictures for when they had their own home "someday" but she had NO idea that he was proposing on this day.  Blake had already had a talk with her Dad.  He and her Mom love him, gave their blessings, and are thrilled!

It was such a surprise...and it was all captured on camera!
How AWESOME is that?!?

Of course she said yes!
We couldn't be happier!

Not only do we get a wonderful daughter,
we get a precious granddaughter too!

My heart is swollen with such LOVE!
The open road is before them...the possibilities are endless!

What a sweet little family they will make!

{We only have a few pics right now...but I will be sure to share all the wonderful pics when we get them back!}
I know there isn't a lot of pink in this post...put it's there...look real closely...lol  And there will surely be plenty of pink in my future as I get ready for this little girl...my first grandbaby!

And today...we must not forget those that lost their lives on this day nine years ago.  Do you remember where you were on Sept. 11?

I had just taken my kids to special class, and returned to my classroom to find several teachers telling eveyone to turn on their TV's. We stood there together trying to comprehend what we were seeing before our very eyes. Of course the phones were ringing, people coming to pick up their child, and us trying to find ...the right words for the kids. I remember sitting in front of the tv that night, tears streaming down my face, praying for those effected by this heartbreaking tragedy! We will never forget those that lost their lives, and those that lost love ones that day.  God Bless the USA!

Be sure to head over to Beverly's for my Pink Posts!
Blessings to all!

Congratulations. Both new daughter in law and new grandaughter look like cuties. Your son looks so happy. I know that this is a post about the sadness of the day 9/11 but it should always be that we look to the future as well. I think your family is looking forward to some good times.
