Winter Wonderland AND Blog Give Away!

*Winter Wonderland*

We got snow!!!  However, it came one day too soon!
In the south, we aren't use to a lot of snow.  If we get one good snow a winter, we are doing good!  Usually, snow flurries with very little accumulation is what we see.  However, about 10:00 p.m. last night, it started to sleet.  Around 1 a.m. the flurries began.  By 1:30, snow showers of large flakes started to fall.  Little by little, the deck started to disappear.  The sidewalk and driveway were covered.  The cul-de-sac completely vanished!  The snow kept falling.  I was like a kid who couldn't sleep!  But, about 3:30 a.m. sleep won out, and when awaking at 7:30 a.m., I was squealing with delight.
There was five {5} inches of snow!!

And now at 2:15 p.m.  The snow on the deck is piled up.
The snow in the front and back yards is still concealing the grass.  However, that doesn't help a thing because...

The snow on the sidewalk is completely gone!
The snow on the driveway is completely gone!
The snow in the cul-de-sac is completely gone!

Since this is Sunday, it came one day too soon for a day off from school.  We had fun in the snow anyway!!

Miss Maggie Moo had seen snow before, but it has been a whole year.  So she didn't quite know how to react.
Take a look...
"Momma, something is falling from the sky and landing on the deck!"

"Look what that did to our deck!"

"You want me to go out THERE?!?"
"Ok, let's see what's happening in the front yard."

"Well, it's out here too!"

"Are you suurrreeee it's ok?"

"What happened to my yard?"

"Ok, this could be fun!"

"Where did the cul-de-sac go?"

"Look at the tracks my Daddy made in the driveway!"

"Look at this pretty snow-covered tree!"
"I think this snow thing might be good after all!"

Snow Blessings,
Rebecca & Maggie

Oh, look how pretty it was! It was fun to look at, but I'll be just as happy to see it gone. Ours is about all melted now too, so we should be able to get out tonight. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog! The snow looks so pretty. We only got 2 inches and the schools are closed here. The South is so pathetic about bad weather. I will be happy to see it all go today. I want to be wearing flip flops!

Rebecca, Thanks for coming to visit me. I love to look at snow pictures, but like it somewhere else , not my house. Maggie is a beautiful dog. The pictures of her in the snow were darling. I went to Cynthia's and signed for the give away. Thanks for the mention. Come see me again.
