Let's take a Peek...
Empty Nest is soooo hard!  Especially when both of your children move out around the same time.  Now, I understand how my mother felt when I {the "baby" of the family} moved out.  However, I also understand the love that she had for my children and my sister's children.  Being a Gramma is the BEST!    I get sad when I go into one of the empty bedrooms that my sons use to have crammed with their things.    So, I decided to change rooms around.

The room that was my granddaughter's Daddy's bedroom is now going to be this magical pink room for her...our pretty little princess!  I have so many ideas dancing around in my head...many decisions to make.

However, the one decision that was easy was the colors...pink, aqua, and white.  I've already been collecting frilly, girly items in these colors for the room that is hers now when she visits.  The aqua candlesticks were purchased a while back from this sweet Etsy store

However, this bedroom will be a much bigger area for her now so I have been having such fun shopping to make this room really special for my sweet girl.

I got this yummy shelf from this sweet shop.  I know I'll be visiting there again!
I found this adorable vintage bunny here.

Little girl rocking dolly with puppy snoozing on the floor beside her....I've always loved this sweet print, so when I found this framed one at our local antique mall,  I snatched it up!
PERFECTION

This pretty dolly will find a home amongst my other blinky-eyed dolls that my sweet girl loves to play with!  I found her here.

And my latest purchase {which is on his way} is this adorable vintage aqua bunny.

SO PRESH!!!!!
I found him here.  I can't wait until he arrives on Monday!
I look forward to when this room is ready, and I can unveil it to you...and even more...I can't wait until my sweet lil miss gets to see it for the first time!

Thank you, Beverly for hosting this weekly event for those of us that can't get enough PINK!

Pink Saturday Blessings!

We love our children unconditionally. However, when the grandchildren arrive, things change. I loved mine, but no one has brought me more joy and happiness that my great grandson.

Hi Rebecca! I am sooooo dreading that day when my youngest son moves out! It won't be for a few years yet, but I have already started crying. I love the color pallette that you have chosen and the treasures that you have collected for the room are incredible. Happy Pink Saturday. ~Marti

Oh how fun, getting to decorate for a little girl! The colors you chose are exactly what I would have picked too and all the little touches you have added are perfect! I know what you mean about the empty nest, both of my girls left for college 5 & 6 years ago 600 miles away and I still miss them. Have a wonderful weekend, Nan

I understand your plight! Both of my children took jobs out of my area. I wish they were here close to me also. Love technology today though. Keeps us somewhat connected I just need them to eat my baked goods!!. Can't imagine what our parents felt when we moved on!

Have a great weekend
